Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 1996 CONSOLIDATED Town
of Southern Harbour Order Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order. ORDER Analysis 1. Short title 2. Boundaries 3. Repeal Schedule Short title 1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Southern Harbour Order. Boundaries 2. The boundaries of the Town of Repeal 3. Schedule Beginning at a point, that point being where an unnamed brook flows into Little Southern Harbour, grid reference 784883; Then in a generally easterly direction along the northern bank of the brook to a point, that point being located on the centre line of the Cabot Highway (now abandoned) where the brook flows under the Cabot Highway (now abandoned); Then following the centre line of the Cabot Highway (now abandoned) in a generally northerly direction a distance of 900 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being located on the Cabot Highway 400 metres southwest of the Trans Canada Highway; Then in a generally northerly direction running parallel to and 400 metres from the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway to a point, that point being the centre line of the Southern Harbour Road 400 metres due west of the Trans Canada Highway; Then due west a distance of 2,000 metres, more or less, to a point at highwater mark on the eastern shoreline of Placentia Bay; Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally southerly direction to the most southern tip of Butler Head; Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally northerly, southeasterly direction around Little Southern Harbour to the point of commencement.
