Town of Winterton Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96‑170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Winterton Order.

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Winterton are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 861/78 is repealed.


Schedule

Beginning at a point at highwater mark on the eastern shoreline of Trinity Bay being 550 metres due west of an unnamed horizontal control point more specifically having UTM co‑ordinates north 5 315 350 and east 326 525;

Then due east a distance of 550 metres to the aforementioned horizontal control point;

Then south 67° east a distance of 3,750 metres to the most northern point on the shoreline of the northeast arm of Western Pond;

Then in a generally southwesterly direction along the eastern shoreline of Western Pond to the most southerly point on the shoreline of Western Pond;

Then due west a distance of 4,200 metres to a point on the highwater mark on the eastern shoreline of Trinity Bay;

Then in a generally northeasterly direction along the sinuosities of the eastern shoreline of Trinity Bay via Sugar Loaf and Winterton Cove to the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to grid north and as with distances and/or co‑ordinates given are subject to approximation as delineated on NTS 1:50,000 mapping.
