Authorization to Approve the Transfer of Prisoners Order
under the
Penitentiary Act (Canada)
(O.C. 96‑142)

Under the authority of subsection 16(2) of the Penitentiary Act (Canada) and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

The officer holding the position of Assistant Superintendent of Her Majesty's Penitentiary, St. John's, is designated as an officer authorized to approve the transfer of prisoners from Her Majesty's Penitentiary in the province to any penitentiary in accordance with the Act.

The Order: re Authorization to Approve the Transfer of Prisoners, Newfoundland Regulation 144/91, is repealed.
