Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 1996 CONSOLIDATED Diagnostic
and Public Health Laboratories Regulations Under the authority of section 11 of the Public Health Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following regulations. REGULATIONS Analysis 1. Short title 2. Prohibition 3. Exemption 4. Repeal Short title 1. These regulations may be cited as the Diagnostic and Public Health Laboratories Regulations. 17/81 s1 Prohibition 2. A person shall not establish or operate within the province a facility or laboratory for the purpose of providing diagnostic or public health services unless that person has the written permission of the minister appointed under the Executive Council Act to administer the Public Health Act. 17/81 s2 Exemption 3. These regulations shall not apply to a hospital or other health facility providing the services referred to in section 2 on the commencement of these regulations if the hospital or health facility is operated by government or by a hospital board. 17/81 s3 Repeal 4.
