Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 1996 CONSOLIDATED
Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council defines the following area as the Gander Municipal Planning Area. PLANNING Beginning at a point, that point being the
intersection of the centre line of the Then in a southeasterly direction along the
centre line of the Then north 56° 00' east a distance of 2,350 metres, more or less, to the centre line of the Canadian National Railway; Then in a northwesterly direction along the centre line of the Canadian National Railway a distance of 3,600 metres, more or less, to a bench mark with a known elevation of 66.14 metres; Then north 20° 00' east a distance of 8,650 metres, more or less, to the eastern extremity of Soulis Pond; Then in a northerly and northwesterly direction along the shoreline of that pond to a trail running between Soulis Pond and Home Pond; Then in a northerly direction along the centre line of the trail to the southern shoreline of Home Pond; Then in a northwesterly and westerly direction along the southern shoreline of Home Pond to the western extremity of that pond; Then in a northwesterly direction along the southern bank of an unnamed brook to the eastern end of Boot Pond; Then in a northwesterly direction along the southern shoreline of Boot Pond to the western end of that pond; Then north 69° 30' west a distance of 2,250 metres, more or less, to the eastern end of Jonathan's Pond; Then in a westerly direction along the southern shoreline of Jonathan's Pond to the western extremity of that pond; Then in a westerly direction along the southern bank of a brook and 3 small ponds feeding that brook; Then south 47° 30' west a distance of 3,050 metres, more or less, to a high point northwest of Whitman's Pond; Then south 53° 30' west a distance of 5,350 metres, more or less, to the eastern extremity of Harvard Pond; Then following the southern shoreline of
Harvard Pond and the centre tread of the drainage area that connects the waters
of Harvard Pond to Then in a generally southwesterly direction
along the southern limit of the highway to the western limit of Little Then due south a distance of 350 metres, more or less, to the northern shoreline of the northernmost pond on the western side of Little Harbour Road; Then in a generally southerly direction
along the western shoreline of those ponds and streams to Then in a generally easterly direction
following the northern shoreline of All bearings being referred to grid north and as with distance given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 scale mapping and reserving and excepting the area contained within the Benton Local Planning Area. 168/88 ©Earl G.
