Grand FallsWindsor Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council defines the following area as the Grand Falls ‑ Windsor Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at a position on the northern bank of the Exploits River 500 metres west of a small island at the mouth of Great Rattling Brook and being more particularly at a point on the Newfoundland Power transmission line 133L;

Then running generally southwestwardly and westwardly along the northern bank of the Exploits River to the Trans Canada Highway;

Then north 22° 00' east 7,125 metres, more or less, to a high point;

Then north 85° 30' east 6,500 metres, more or less, to a tributary of Peters River;

Then due south 4,750 metres, more or less, to the Canadian National Railway right‑of‑way;

Then running northeastward via the right‑of‑way to transmission line 133L;

Then south 37° 30' east along transmission line 133L 2,300 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping, 1987 edition.
