CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND REGULATION 880/96

Makkovik Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act
(O.C. 96‑202)

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council defines the following area as the Makkovik Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at a point on the highwater mark of the shoreline of Makkovik harbour having UTM co‑ordinates 6 105 275 metres north and 361 500 metres east, that point situated where Mink Trap Brook flows into the harbour;

Then running south 23° west a distance of 2,683 metres, more or less, to a point situated on top of a hill having approximate elevation of 213 metres, that point having UTM co‑ordinates 6 102 805 metres north and 360 450 metres east;

Then running south 52° west a distance of 3,469 metres to a point situated on top of a hill having approximate elevation of 228 metres, that point having UTM co‑ordinates 6 100 690 metres north and 357 700 metres east;

Then running north 6° east a distance of 4,985 metres to a point on top of a hill having approximate elevation of 152 metres, that point having UTM co‑ordinates 6 105 645 metres north and 358 250 metres east;

Then running north 34° east a distance of 1,762 metres to a point on the highwater mark of Ranger Bight Point, that point having UTM co‑ordinates 6 107 100 metres north and 359 245 metres east;

Then running in a generally south and east direction and following the sinuosities of the shoreline through Ranger Bight, Perret's Point, Children's Cove, Indian Head and Trap Point to the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to grid north and co‑ordinates derived from the universal transverse mercator grid, Zone 21.
