CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND REGULATION 891/96

Norris Arm Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act
(O.C. 96‑173)

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council defines the following area as the Norris Arm Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at a point on the southern bank of the Exploits River, that point being on the southeastern abutment of the Sir Robert Bond Bridge on the Trans Canada Highway, Route 1;

Then in a general easterly direction along the northern sideline of Route 1 to a point where the sideline intersects with Rattling Brook;

Then south 43° 00' east a distance of 2,800 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being on the eastern shoreline of Rattling Lake;

Then north 46° 30' east a distance of 11,550 metres, more or less, to a point;

Then north 30° 00' west a distance of 2,500 metres, more or less, to a point on the centre line of Route 1, that point being 60 metres west via the centre line of Route 1 from the Alderburn Road intersection;

Then along a line parallel to and 60 metres from the centre line of that road to a point on the southern bank of an unnamed river flowing into Norris Arm;

Then in a southwesterly direction along the southern bank of that river, the sinuosities of the southeastern shoreline of Norris Arm and the southern bank of the Exploits River to the above mentioned bridge, the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping.
