CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND REGULATION 928/96

St. Lawrence Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act
(O.C. 96‑173)

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council defines the following area as the St. Lawrence Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at a point on the highwater mark of the shoreline of Murphy's Cove, Little Lawn Harbour, that point bearing south 7° west from the summit of Welchs Hill;

Then north 7° east a distance of 1,640 metres, more or less, to the summit of Welchs Hill;

Then north 34° east a distance of 10,400 metres, more or less, to the summit of Tilt Hill;

Then north 25° east 3,800 metres, more or less, to a high point;

Then north 48° east a distance of 3,000 metres, more or less, to a high point;

Then south 73° 30' east a distance of 9,000 metres, more or less, to Salmonier Hill;

Then south 13° 30' west a distance of 15,800 metres, more or less, to the highwater mark of Placentia Bay and being north 13° east of the most eastern point of Sauker Head;

Then in general westerly direction along the shoreline at the highwater mark passing Sauker Head, Little St. Lawrence Harbour, Middle Head, Great St. Lawrence, Cape Chapeau Rouge, Ferryland Head, Chambers Point, Lawn Head, Little Lawn Point, Little Lawn Harbour, to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 mapping, 1970 and 1972 editions.
