Registration and Release of Information Regulations
under the
Vital Statistics Act

Under the authority of paragraph 26(2)(a) of the Vital Statistics Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following regulations.

Short title

1. These regulations may be cited as the Registration and Release of Information Regulations.

Information release permitted

2. Information may be released under the Vital Statistics Act to Statistics Canada under agreements concerning vital statistics between the Government of Canada and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Repeal

3. The Registration (Vital Statistics) Act (Release of Information) Regulations, 1988, Newfoundland Regulation 13/89, are repealed.
