Wild Life Park Order
under the
Wild Life Act
(O.C. 96‑242)

Under the authority of section 5 of the Wild Life Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Wild Life Park Order.

Boundary described

        2. The area of the province commonly known as the Salmonier Nature Park is set aside as a park with its limits as described in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. The Wild Life Park Order, 1981, Newfoundland Regulation 65/81, is repealed.


Schedule

All that piece or parcel of land situate and being on the Salmonier Line, in the Electoral District of Harbour Main, abutted and bounded as follows, that is to say:

Beginning at a point in the southeasterly limit of the Salmonier Line, that point having co‑ordinates of north 5 238 325 metres and east 328 250 metres;

Then running in a southeasterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5 235 450 metres and east 332 500 metres;

Then running in a southwesterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5 233 500 metres and east 329 400 metres;

Then running in a northwesterly direction to a point in the southeasterly limit of the Salmonier Line, that point having co‑ordinates of north 5 235 850 metres and east 326 375 metres;

Then running along the southeasterly limit of the Salmonier Line in a northeasterly direction to the point of beginning;

Reserving, nevertheless, out of the above described piece or parcel of land all private, leased or granted land that may be contained in it;

The above described piece or parcel of land containing an area of 1,455 hectares, more or less.

All co‑ordinates have been scaled from 1:50,000 topographic map being referenced to Zone 22 of the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid.
