Young Offenders Act (Canada) Order
under the
Young Offenders Act (Canada)
(O.C. 96‑184)

Under the authority of sections 2 and 24.1 of the Young Offenders Act (Canada) and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council makes the following Order.

ORDER

For the purposes of the Act

(a) social workers appointed by the minister are designated as "youth workers"; and

(b) group homes for young offenders throughout the province are designated as "open custody facilities".

The Order re: Young Offenders Act (Canada) No. 2, Newfoundland Regulation 135/84, is repealed.
