CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND REGULATION 1036/96

Blow Me Down Provincial Park Proclamation
under the
Provincial Parks Act
(O.C. 96-189)

Under the authority of section 4 of the Provincial Parks Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council proclaims the area described in the Schedule to be a provincial park.

                   The Blow Me Down Park Proclamation, Newfoundland Regulation 188/80, is repealed.


Schedule

All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land located between York Harbour and Lark Harbour in the province, abutted and bounded as follows, that is to say:

Starting at a point inscribed PT No. 1, that point having reference from the southeast corner of the CNT building as follows: north 79° 59' east 40 metres;

Then south 8° 07' east 96.9 metres to the above described starting point;

Then south 8° 07' east 93.5 metres to a point inscribed PT No. 2;

Then south 11° 12' east 262.3 metres to a point inscribed PT No. 3;

Then south 3° 42' east 311.6 metres to a point inscribed PT No. 4;

Then south 30° 59' west 232.7 metres to a point inscribed PT No. 5;

Then south 25° west 193.7 metres to a point inscribed PT No. 6;

Then south 17° 54' west 127.9 metres to a point inscribed PT No. 7;

Then south 19° 49' west 71 metres to a point inscribed PT No. 8;

Then south 21° 09' west 65.7 metres to a point inscribed PT No. 9;

Then south 25° 34' west 167.9 metres to a point inscribed PT No. 10;

Then south 24° 16' west 171.9 metres to a point inscribed PT No. 11;

Then south 25° 33' west 20.5 metres to a point inscribed PT No. 12;

Then south 21° 10' east 142.8 metres to a point inscribed PT No. 13;

Then south 19° 32' east 59.3 metres to a point inscribed PT No. 14;

Then south 16° 50' east 65.6 metres to a point inscribed PT No. 15;

Then following along the shoreline of York Harbour 10 metres from high water mark in a general northeasterly direction to Tortoise Point;

Then following along the shoreline of Lark Harbour 10 metres from high water mark in a general westerly direction in Pinnacle Point;

Then following along the shoreline of Lark Harbour 10 metres from high water mark in a general westerly direction to a point inscribed PT No. 16;

Then south 80° 52' west 39.6 metres, more or less, to the starting point, containing in area 226.3 hectares, more or less.

All bearings being from the magnetic meridian.
