CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND REGULATION 1039/96

Cataracts Provincial Park Proclamation
under the
Provincial Parks Act
(O.C. 96-189)

Under the authority of section 4 of the Provincial Parks Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council proclaims the area described in the Schedule to be a provincial park.

                   The Proclamation re: Cataracts Provincial Park, Newfoundland Regulation 144/89, is repealed.


Schedule

All that piece or parcel of land situate and being at Cataract River in the province, abutted and bounded as follows, that is to say:

Beginning at a point, that point being distant 10.677 metres as measured on a bearing of north 78° 54' 50" east from Control Monument No. 81106;

Then running by Crown lands south 80° 04' 20" west 79.685 metres, and then south 18° 04' 50" east 561.885 metres, and then south 66° 34' 30" east 1,321.321 metres, and then north 2° 11' 30" east 1,474.896 metres, and then north 81° 33' 50" west 1,489.226 metres, and then south 9° 55' 40" east 628.520 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning.

The above described piece or parcel of land being subject to a pole line easement 10.96 metres wide, extending through that land.

Reserving nevertheless out of the above described piece or parcel of land, Route 91, 30 metres wide, extending between Placentia and Colinet running through that land.

The above described piece or parcel of land containing an area of 172.255 hectares, more or less.

All bearings being referred to the meridian of 53° west longitude of the 3° Transverse Mercator Projection.
