CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND REGULATION 1060/96

Marine Drive Provincial Park Proclamation
under the
Provincial Parks Act
(O.C. 96‑189)

Under the authority of section 4 of the Provincial Parks Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council proclaims the area described in the Schedule to be a provincial park.

                   The Marine Drive Park Proclamation, Newfoundland Regulation 28/81, is repealed.


Schedule

All that piece or parcel of land situate and being near Pouch Cove, in the province, abutted and bounded as follows, that is to say:

Beginning at a point in the westerly shore of Rocky Pond, that point having co‑ordinates of north 5,287,442.3 metres and east 319,281.8 metres;

Then running by Crown land north 55° 28' 14" west 327.01 metres, and then south 74° 01' 37" west 1,327.92 metres, and then north 41° 11' 07" west 552.49 metres to a point on the shoreline of Conception Bay at low water;

Then running along the shoreline of Conception Bay at low water to a point having distant 3,651.93 metres as measured on a bearing of north 15° 38' 48" east from the last mentioned point;

Then running by Crown land south 81° 56' 45" east 729.24 metres, and then south 82° 07' 14" east 1,520.80 metres, and then south 23° 57' 06" west 626.92 metres, and then south 9° 18' 37" west 614.61 metres, and then south 16° 05' 13" west 563.53 metres;

Then running by land occupied by Patrick Shea south 52° 07' 30" west 46.90 metres, and then south 62° 01' west 44.35 metres, and then south 76° 59' 36" west 30.87 metres, and then south 56° 41' 20" east 47.25 metres;

Then running by that land occupied by Patrick Shea and by Crown land south 64° 32' 30" east 426.84 metres;

Then running by the westerly bank of Pouch Cove Brook and the westerly shoreline of Rocky Pond to a point of beginning a distance of 1,831.98 metres, more or less, as measured on a bearing of south 37° 24' 26" west from the last mentioned point and containing an area of 782.69 hectares, more or less, reserving, nevertheless out of the above described piece or parcel of land the Pouch Cove Road, 30 metres wide, extending between Pouch Cove and Bauline.

 

All bearings being referred to the meridian of 53° west longitude of the 3° Transverse Mercator Projection.
