Pistolet Bay Provincial Park Proclamation
under the
Provincial Parks Act
(O.C. 96-189)

Under the authority of section 4 of the Provincial Parks Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council proclaims the area described in the Schedule to be a provincial park.

                   The Proclamation of Pistolet Bay Provincial Park, Newfoundland Regulation 160/87, is repealed.


Schedule

All that piece or parcel of land situate and being at Pistolet Bay in the province, abutted and bounded as follows, that is to say:

Beginning at a point in the easterly limit of Route 437, 30 metres wide, that point being distant 1,108.918 metres as measured on a bearing of south 27° 54' 36" east from Control Monument No. 070043;

Then running along that easterly limit of Route 437 to a point being distant 2,549.463 metres as measured on a bearing of north 36° 00' 30" west from the last mentioned point;

Then running by Crown land north 56° 59' 51" east 1,159.123 metres, and then north 3° 54' 45" west 949.922 metres, and then north 56° 59' 49" east 1,698.839 metres, more or less, to a point in the westerly shoreline of Eastern Brook Pond at low water mark, that point having co‑ordinates of north 5,713,019.931 metres and east 327,289.052 metres;

Then running along that westerly shoreline of Eastern Brook Pond at low water mark in a general southerly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,709,854.324 metres and east 328,613.019 metres;

Then running by Crown land south 57° 00' 07" west 2,572.318 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning.

The above described piece or parcel of land being subject to a pole line easement, 9 metres wide, extending through that land.

The above described piece or parcel of land containing an area of 897 hectares, more or less, and being more particularly shown on Special Plan No. 198 as registered in the Registry of Crown Titles in the Department of Forest Resources and Lands.

 

 

 

All bearings being referred to the meridian of 53° west longitude in the 3° Transverse Mercator Projection.
