AN ACT TO AMEND THE REGISTERED NURSES ACT
(Assented to December 23, 1992)

Revocation of registration

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

1. (1) Section 21 of the Registered Nurses Act is amended by adding the following immediately after subsection (1):

(1.1) The council may appoint a committee which shall consider the revocation or suspension of a licence.

(1.2) The council shall specify rules of procedure that the committee shall follow in hearing an issue under subsection (1.1).

(2) Subsections 21(2) to (8) are amended by deleting the words "the council" wherever they appear and substituting the phrase "the council or the committee appointed under subsection (1.1)".
