AN ACT TO AMEND THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH ACT
(Assented to December 23, 1992)

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

1. Section 22 of the Department of Health Act is amended by renumbering it as subsection (1) and by adding the following immediately after subsection (1):

(2) The Lieutenant-Governor in Council may by order establish regional community health boards, which shall be considered to be corporations, to direct the delivery of health and continuing care services, other than hospital services, in the province.

(3) An order made under subsection (2) shall be considered to be subordinate legislation for the purpose of the Statutes and Subordinate Legislation Act.
