AN ACT TO AMEND THE GASOLINE TAX ACT, THE HORSE RACING REGULATION AND TAX ACT, THE LIQUOR CONTROL ACT AND THE
RETAIL SALES TAX ACT

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

GASOLINE TAX ACT


RSN 1990 cG-1 as amended

1. Section 17 of the Gasoline Tax Act is amended by renumbering it as subsection (1) and by adding the following immediately after subsection (1):

(2) Where the holder of a retailer licence under this Act operates an electronic or mechanical amusement device in contravention of the Lotteries Act the minister may cancel or suspend that person's retailer licence.

HORSE RACING REGULATION AND TAX ACT

2. Section 17 of the Horse Racing Regulation and Tax Act is amended by adding the following immediately after paragraph (f):

(f.1) provide for the cancellation or suspension of a licence where the holder of the licence contravenes another Act;

LIQUOR CONTROL ACT

3. Section 33 of the Liquor Control Act is amended by adding the following immediately after subsection (4):

(5) The board may cancel or suspend a licence where the licensee operates an electronic or mechanical amusement device in contravention of the Lotteries Act.

RETAIL SALES TAX ACT

RSN 1990 cR-15 as amended

4. (1) Subsection 24(2) of the Retail Sales Tax Act is amended by deleting the word "and" at the end of paragraph (a), by deleting the period at the end of paragraph (b) and by substituting a semicolon and the word "and".

(2) Subsection 24(2) is further amended by adding the following immediately after paragraph (b):

(c) of a person who operates an electronic or mechanical amusement device in contravention of the Lotteries Act.
