Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

RSN 1990 cJ-2

1. Section 6 of the Judgment Interest Act is amended by stricking out the words "The Lieutenant-Governor in Council" and substituting the words "The Minister of Justice".

2. Paragraph 8(b) of the Act is repealed and the following substituted:

(b) delegating to the Minister of Justice the authority to prescribe the rate of interest.
