Statutes of Newfoundland 1993 CHAPTER 40 AN ACT TO REPEAL THE CRIMINAL INJURIES COMPENSATION ACT (Assented to December 17, 1993) Analysis 1. Act repealed 2. Right extinguished Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows: Act repealed 1. The Criminal Injuries Compensation Act is repealed. Right extinguished 2. (1) Where a person who believed that he or she had a right to receive compensation under the Criminal Injuries Compensation Act failed to make an application for compensation before March 27, 1992, a right that that person may have had is extinguished.
