Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

MINERAL ACT

RSN 1990 cM-12 as amended

1. Paragraphs 2(1)(d) and (g) of the Mineral Act are amended by deleting the words "Mines and Energy" and substituting the words "Natural Resources".

2. Section 13 of the Act is amended by deleting the words "Lieutenant-Governor in Council" and substituting the word "minister".

3. Section 32 of the Act is amended by deleting the words "Lieutenant-Governor in Council" wherever they appear and substituting the word "minister".

4. Subsection 43(1) of the Act is amended by deleting the words "Lieutenant-Governor in Council" and substituting the word "minister".

MINERAL HOLDINGS IMPOST ACT

RSN 1990 cM-14 as amended

5. (1) Paragraph 2(d) of the Mineral Holdings Impost Act is amended by deleting the words "Lieutenant-Governor in Council" and substituting the word "minister".

(2) Paragraph 2(h) of the Act is amended by deleting the word "Finance" and substituting the words "Natural Resources".

6. Subsection 8(4) of the Act is amended by deleting the words "Minister of Mines and Energy" and substituting the word "minister".

7. Subsection 9(1) of the Act is amended by deleting the words "Minister of Mines and Energy" and substituting the word "minister".

8. Subsection 10(1) of the Act is amended by deleting the words "Lieutenant-Governor in Council" and substituting the word "minister".

9. Subsection 11(1) of the Act is amended by deleting the words "Lieutenant-Governor in Council" and substituting the word "minister".

10. Section 39 of the Act is amended by deleting the word "Finance" wherever it appears and substituting the words "Natural Resources".

11. (1) Paragraph 46(c) of the Act is amended by deleting the words "Minister of Mines and Energy" and substituting the word "minister".

(2) Paragraph 46(e.2) of the Act is repealed.

12. The Act is amended by adding the following immediately after section 46:

Regulations

47. The minister may make regulations prescribing rates and methods of calculating interest, the forms, documents, records, times and the manner of paying refunds, interest and making other payments.
