AN ACT TO AMEND THE FINANCIAL
ADMINISTRATION ACT

(Assented to December 21, 1995)

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

1. (1) Section 19 of the Financial Administration Act is amended by adding the following immediately after subsection (1):

(1.1) The Minister of Finance may, upon the recommendation of Treasury Board, remit a tax payable to the Crown, imposed or authorized to be imposed by an Act, or to approve settlements, all of which shall be in amounts of less than $5,000.

(2) Subsections 19(2) and (3) of the Act are amended by striking out the word "The" at the beginning of each subsection and by substituting the word "A".

2. Section 40 of the Act is amended by deleting the phrase "at the maturity of that issue" and the commas before and after that phrase.
