Statutes of Newfoundland 1995 CHAPTER 29 AN ACT TO AMEND THE LIQUOR CONTROL ACT (Assented to December 21, 1995) Analysis 1. S.80 Amdt. 2. S.124 Amdt. Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows: RSN 1990 cL-18 as amended 1. Subsection 80(2) of the Liquor Control Act is repealed and the following substituted: (2) Where a person is convicted of an offence under subsection (1), the court may order that person to pay a minimum fine of $250 and a maximum fine of $500 or, in default, to imprisonment for a minimum term of 2 days and a maximum term of 7 days. 2. Section 124 of the Act is amended by adding immediately after subsection (3) the following: (4) Where a person is convicted of an offence under subsection 77(3), the court may order that person to pay a minimum fine of $500 and a maximum fine of $1,000, or, in default, to imprisonment for a minimum term of 3 months and a maximum term of 12 months. ©Earl G.
