Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ACT


RSN1990 cH-10 as amended

1. Subsection 4(1) of the House of Assembly Act is repealed and the following substituted:

4. (1) The House of Assembly shall consist of 48 members.

2. Section 5 of the Act is repealed and the following substituted:

5. Each district for which a member shall be returned to the House of Assembly is listed below and is more particularly described and delineated in the Schedule; and each district shall return one member to the House of Assembly:

3. Subsection 6(2) of the Act is repealed and the following substituted:

(2) A rule established under subsection (1) shall not be altered or repealed except by a vote of 50% plus one of the members present and voting in favour.

4. The Schedule to the Act is repealed and the Schedule forming part of this Act substituted.

ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES ACT

RSN1990 cE-4 as amended

5. (1) Subsection 13(1) of the Electoral Boundaries Act is amended by striking out the figure "46" and by substituting the figure "48".

(2) Subsection 13(2) of the Act is amended by striking out the figure "45" and by substituting the figure "47".

(3) Subsection 13(3) of the Act is repealed.

6. Section 20 of the Act is repealed.

COMMENCEMENT

Commencement

7. (1) Sections 1, 2 and 4 of this Act come into force immediately after the dissolution of the 42nd General Assembly.

(2) Sections 3, 5 and 6 of this Act come into force on Royal Assent.

 

Schedule

BAIE VERTE

The District of Baie Verte shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at Shale Point, White Bay;

Then running south along the eastern boundary of the District of Humber Valley to its intersection with the Parallel of 49°33' North Latitude;

Then running along the said Parallel of 49°33' North Latitude to its intersection with the western shore line of Halls Bay;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction along the shore line of Halls Bay to Halls Bay Head;

Then running in a general northwesterly and northeasterly direction along the shore line of Notre Dame Bay to a point of land known as South Bill;

Then running along the shore lines of Confusion Bay and Baie Verte in a general westerly direction to Partridge Point;

Then running along the shore line of White Bay in a general southwesterly direction to the point of beginning, together with Little Bay Islands, Gull Island, Horse Islands and all other islands adjacent thereto;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of La Scie, Shoe Cove, Tilt Cove, Round Harbour, Snooks Arm, Nippers Harbour, Smith's Harbour, Burlington, Middle Arm, Purbecks Cove, Westport, Seal Cove, Wild Cove, Fleur de Lys, Coachman's Cove, Baie Verte, Mings Bight, Pacquet, Woodstock, Harbour Round, Brent's Cove, Harry's Harbour, Jackson's Cove, Langdon's Cove, Nicky's Nose Cove, Rattling Brook, Silverdale, King's Point, Beachside, Little Bay, St. Patricks, and Little Bay Islands.

BAY OF ISLANDS

The District of Bay of Islands shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point of intersection with the centre line of Rope Cove Brook and the eastern shore line of the Gulf of St. Lawrence;

Then running east to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 48°55' North Latitude and the Meridian of 58° West Longitude;

Then running north along the said Meridian of 58° West Longitude to its intersection with the centre line of St. Mary's Brook;

Then running along the centre line of St. Mary's Brook in a general northerly direction to its intersection with the southern shore line of Humber Arm;

Then running in a general easterly direction along the southern shore line of Humber Arm to its intersection with the centre line of the Humber River;

Then running along the centre line of the Humber River to its intersection with the centre line of an unnamed river, which extends from Wild Cove Lake and flows into Humber River;

Then running north to its intersection with the Parallel of 49° North Latitude;

Then running east along the said Parallel of 49° North Latitude to its intersection with the western shore line of Humber River;

Then running along the western shore line of the said river in a general northeasterly direction to its intersection with the shore line of Deer Lake;

Then extending to the western shore line of Deer Lake and continuing in a general northeasterly direction to its intersection with the southwestern boundary of the District of Humber Valley;

Then running in a northwesterly direction to a point of intersection with the centre line of Gregory River and the eastern shore line of the Gulf of St. Lawrence;

Then running in a general southerly direction along the eastern shore line of the Gulf of St. Lawrence to North Head;

Then running along the northern and southern shore lines of the Bay of Islands to South Head;

Then running in a general southwesterly direction along the eastern shore line of the Gulf of St. Lawrence to the point of beginning, together with Wood's Island, Pearl Island and all other islands adjacent thereto;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Lark Harbour, Wood's Island, York Harbour, Halfway Point, Frenchmen's Cove, Benoit's Cove, John's Beach, Mount Moriah, Cox's Cove, McIvers, Gillams, Hughes Brook, Irishtown-Summerside, Meadows, Petries and part of the City of Corner Brook as described above.

BELLEVUE

The District of Bellevue shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point of land known as St. Jones Head on the western shore line of Trinity Bay;

Then running west to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 47°58' North Latitude and the Meridian of 55° West Longitude;

Then running along the eastern boundary of the District of Fortune Bay - Cape La Hune, south along the said Meridian of 55° West Longitude to its intersection with the western shore line of Long Harbour;

Then running in a southwesterly direction along the said shore line to its intersection with a point of land known as Long Harbour Point, Fortune Bay;

Then running along the shore line of Fortune Bay in a general northeasterly and southwesterly direction to a point of land known as Grand John Point, southwest of the community of St. Bernard's;

Then running in an easterly direction to a point of intersection with the centre line of Route 210 and the centre line of Route 212, which leads to the community of Jacques Fontaine;

Then running in a northeasterly direction to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 47°30' North Latitude and the Meridian of 54°30' West Longitude;

Then running east along the said Parallel of 47°30' North Latitude to its intersection with the Meridian of 54° West Longitude;

Then running south along the said Meridian of 54° West Longitude to its intersection with the prolongation of a line extending west from Long Harbour Head;

Then running east along the said prolongation to Long Harbour Head, northwest of the community of Ship Harbour;

Then running east to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 47°23' North Latitude and the Meridian of 53°48' West Longitude;

Then running in a southeasterly direction to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 47°18' North Latitude and the Meridian of 53°34' West Longitude;

Then running north to a point of intersection with the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway and the centre line of the road leading to Argentia (Route 100);

Then running in an easterly direction along the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway to its intersection with the centre line of a road leading to the community of Blaketown (Route 80);

Then running in a northeasterly direction to a point of intersection with the shore line of The Pond That Feeds The Brook and the centre line of North River;

Then running north along the western boundary of the District of Harbour Main - Whitbourne to its intersection with the Parallel of 47°32' North Latitude;

Then running west along the said Parallel of 47°32' North Latitude to its intersection with the Meridian of 53°32' West Longitude;

Then running in a northwesterly direction to its intersection with the northern boundary of a fish packing plant, situated between the communities of Dildo South and Broad Cove on the eastern shore line of Trinity Bay;

Then running in a general northwesterly and northeasterly direction along the shore line of Trinity Bay to the point of beginning, together with Woody Island, Bar Haven Island and all other islands adjacent thereto;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Goobies, Goobies Siding, Swift Current, Piper's Hole, Black River, Garden Cove, Woody Island, North Harbour, Sunnyside, Come By Chance, Arnold's Cove Station, Arnold's Cove, Norman's Cove, Long Cove, Thornlea, Bellevue Beach, Bellevue, Chance Cove, Blaketown, Old Shop, Chapel Arm, Dildo South, Southern Harbour, Little Harbour, Fairhaven, Mount Arlington Heights/Long Harbour, Monkstown, Grand La Pierre, English Harbour East, Terrenceville, Harbour Mille, Little Harbour East, Little Bay East, Bay L'Argent, Jacques Fontaine, and St. Bernard's.

BONAVISTA NORTH

The District of Bonavista North shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point of intersection with the Parallel of 48°54' North Latitude and the western shore line of Lockers Bay, south of a bridge which spans the western most portion of the said bay;

Then running west along the said Parallel of 48°54' North Latitude to its intersection with the eastern boundary of the District of Gander;

Then running along the said boundary, due north to its intersection with the Parallel of 49°03' North Latitude;

Then running west along the said Parallel of 49°03' North Latitude to its intersection with the centre line of Route 330, the said road extends between the Trans Canada Highway and the community of Gander Bay;

Then running north to a point of intersection with the southern shore line of Dog Bay and the centre line of an unnamed river;

Then running east to its intersection with the western shore line of Gander Bay;

Then running in a general southerly and northerly direction along the shore lines of Gander Bay and Fredericton Harbour, to a point of land known as Noggin Point;

Then running in a general easterly direction along the shore line of Rocky Bay and Aspen Cove to Ladle Point;

Then running in a general easterly direction along the shore lines of Ladle Cove, Ragged Harbour and Muddy Hole to a point of land known as Muddy Point;

Then running in a general southeasterly direction along the shore line to North Bill, north of the community of Cape Freels North;

Then running along the shore line in a general southerly direction to Shoe Cove Point;

Then running in a general southwesterly direction along the shore lines of Indian Bay, Trinity Bay and Lockers Bay to the point of beginning, together with Barber's Island, Pools Island, Greenspond Island, Lewis Island, Silver Fox Island and all other islands adjacent thereto, with the exception of those islands contained in the District of Twillingate & Fogo;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Trinity, Centerville, Wareham, Indian Bay, Greenspond, Valleyfield, Badger's Quay, Pools Island, Brookfield, Wesleyville, Newtown, Cape Freels, Lumsden, Deadman's Bay, Doting Cove, Musgrave Harbour, Ladle Cove, Aspen Cove, Carmanville, Noggin Cove, Frederickton, Davidsville, Main Point, Harris Point, George's Point, Newport, Clarke's Head, Victoria Cove, Rodger's Cove, and Wings Point.

BONAVISTA SOUTH

The District of Bonavista South shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point of land known as South Head, south of the community of Melrose, Trinity Bay;

Then running in a westerly direction to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 48°28' North Latitude and the Meridian of 53°21' West Longitude;

Then running in a southwesterly direction to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 48°18' North Latitude and the Meridian of 53°56' West Longitude, the said point being more precisely situated south of the community of Morley's Siding and north of Gull Pond;

Then running along the eastern boundary of the District of Terra Nova, in a northerly direction to a point of intersection with the shore line of Northwest Pond and the centre line of Stagg Brook;

Then running along the shore line of Northwest Pond in a general southeasterly direction to its intersection with the centre line of Dungeon Brook;

Then running along the centre line of said brook and its northern most branch to its intersection with the western shore line of Goose Bay;

Then running along the shore lines of Goose Bay, Sweet Bay, Southern Bay and Blackhead Bay in a general northeasterly direction to Cape Bonavista;

Then running along the shore line in a general southeasterly and southwesterly direction to the point of beginning, together with all islands adjacent thereto;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Summerville, Princeton, Southern Bay, Charleston, Sweet Bay, Bonavista, Birchy Cove, Hodderville, Newman's Cove, Lower Amherst Cove, Middle Amherst Cove, Upper Amherst Cove, Knights Cove, Stock Cove, Kings Cove, Duntara, Keels, Open Hall, Red Cliff, Tickle Cove, Plate Cove East, Plate Cove West, Elliston, Spillar's Cove, Little Catalina, Catalina, Port Union, Melrose, Bloomfield, Morley's Siding, Lethbridge, Brooklyn, Portland, Jamestown, and Winter Brook.

BURGEO & LA POILE

The District of Burgeo & La Poile shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at Cape Ray, northwest of the community of Port aux Basques;

Then running in a northeasterly direction to its intersection with the southeastern corner of Barachois Pond Provincial Park;

Then running northerly and westerly along the said boundary to its intersection with the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway;

Then running in a general northerly direction along the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway to its intersection with the centre line of Southwest Brook, flowing into the St. George's River;

Then running east to a point of intersection with the Meridian of 57°30' West Longitude;

Then running south along the said Meridian of 57°30' West Longitude to its intersection with the shore line of the southwest coast, east of the community of Burgeo;

Then running along the shore line of the southwest coast in a general westerly direction to the point of beginning, together with Burgeo Islands, Burnt Islands and all other islands adjacent thereto;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Cape Ray, Channel-Port aux Basques, Long Grade, Margaree, Fox Roost, Isle aux Morts, Burnt Islands, Diamond Cove, Rose Blanche, Harbour Le Cou, La Poile, Petites, Grand Bruit, and Burgeo.

BURIN - PLACENTIA WEST

The District of Burin - Placentia West shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point of land known as Grand John Point on the eastern shore line of Fortune Bay, southwest of the community of St. Bernard's;

Then running in an easterly direction to a point of intersection with the centre line of Route 210 and the centre line of Route 212 which leads to the community of Jacques Fontaine;

Then running in a northeasterly direction to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 47°30' North Latitude and the Meridian of 54°30' West Longitude;

Then running east along the said Parallel of 47°30' North Latitude to its intersection with the Meridian of 54° West Longitude;

Then running in a general southwesterly direction along the centre line of Eastern Channel, Placentia Bay to its intersection with a point of land known as Long Point, located on the western shore line of Placentia Bay, southeast of the community of Corbin;

Then running in a general northerly direction along the western shore line of Placentia Bay to its intersection with a point of land known as Spoon Point, southeast of the community of Epworth;

Then running along the western shore line of Burin Inlet to its intersection with the western shore line of Salt Pond;

Then running along the western shore line of Salt Pond to its intersection with a point on the northern shore line of the said pond;

Then running in a northwesterly direction to a point of intersection with the centre line of a bridge which spans Southwest Arm and the centre line of Route 210 leading to the Town of Marystown;

Then running in a northeasterly direction to the point of beginning, together with Burin Island, Marticot Island, Red Island and all other islands adjacent thereto;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Marystown, Rock Harbour, South East Bight, Petit Forte, Fox Cove-Mortier, Red Harbour, Spanish Room, Jean de Baie, Rushoon, Baine Harbour, Brookside, Boat Harbour, Parker's Cove, Beau Bois, Port au Bras, Burin, Red Island, and Garnish Pond.

CAPE ST. FRANCIS

The District of Cape St. Francis shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at Blast Hole Point on the eastern shore of Conception Bay;

Then running east to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 47°39' North Latitude and the Meridian of 52°47' West Longitude;

Then running in a southeasterly direction to a point of intersection with the shore line of Windsor Lake and centre line of an unnamed river flowing from Newfound Pond into Windsor Lake;

Then running in a southerly direction to its intersection with the centre line of a brook extending between Big Pond and Middle Pond;

Then running in a northeasterly direction to a point of intersection with the centre line of Portugal Cove Road south of Major's Path, the said point being a distance of 250m, as measured from the intersection of the centre lines of Portugal Cove Road and an unnamed river that extends between Portugal Cove Road and Virginia Lake;

Then running in a general northwesterly direction along the centre line of Portugal Cove Road to its intersection with the centre line of that unnamed river that extends between Portugal Cove Road and Virginia Lake;

Then running in a northeasterly direction to a point on the centre line of Torbay Road south of Major's Path, the said point being 100m, as measured from the intersection of the centre lines of Major's Path and Torbay Road;

Then running in a general northerly direction along the centre line of Torbay Road to its intersection with the centre line of Snow's Lane;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction along the centre line of Snow's Lane to its intersection with the City of St. John's Municipal Boundary (1991);

Then running along the said boundary in a general easterly direction to its intersection with a point on the shore line of Robin Hood Bay;

Then running along the eastern shore line of the Avalon Peninsula in a general northwesterly direction to Cape St. Francis;

Then running along the eastern shore line of Conception Bay in a general southwesterly direction to the point of beginning;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include Bauline, Pouch Cove, Flatrock, Torbay, Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove, and that part of the City of St. John's described above.

CARBONEAR - HARBOUR GRACE

The District of Carbonear - Harbour Grace shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at the point of intersection with the centre line of Spout Cove Brook and the shore line of Conception Bay, northeast of the community of Perry's Cove;

Then running along the centre line of the said brook to its intersection with the centre line of Route 70;

Then running west to its intersection with the centre line of Route 74, which extends between the communities of Heart's Content and Victoria;

Then running in a southwesterly direction to a point of intersection with the centre line of a road that extends between the communities of Carbonear and Heart's Delight and a line drawn north from the intersection of the eastern shore line of The Pond That Feeds The Brook and the centre line of North River;

Then running along the eastern boundary of the District of Trinity - Bay de Verde, south along the said line to its intersection with the Parallel of 47°39' North Latitude;

Then running in an easterly direction to a point of intersection with the shore line of Riverhead Long Pond and the centre line of an unnamed river which extends between the said pond and First Gully;

Then running in a southeasterly direction to the centre line of Neddie Smith's Pond;

Then running in a northeasterly direction to Black Point, located on the eastern shore line of Harbour Grace;

Then running in a general southwesterly and northeasterly direction along the western shore line of Conception Bay to the point of beginning;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Carbonear, Freshwater, Victoria, Salmon Cove, Perry's Cove, The Thicket, Harbour Grace South, Riverhead, Harbour Grace, and Bristol's Hope.

CARTWRIGHT - L'ANSE AU CLAIR

The District of Cartwright - L'Anse au Clair shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at the point of intersection with the boundary of the Province of Newfoundland and the Province of Quebec, near Blanc Sablon, and the northern shore of the Strait of Belle Isle;

Then running north along the said boundary to its intersection with the Parallel of 52° North Latitude;

Then running west along the said Parallel of 52° North Latitude to its intersection with the Meridian of 57°37' West Longitude;

Then running along the eastern boundary of the District of Lake Melville, north along the said Meridian of 57°37' West Longitude to its intersection with Flatwater Point, located on the southern shore of Groswater Bay;

Then running in a general southeasterly direction along the southern shoreline of Groswater Bay to Fish Cove Point;

Then running in a general southeasterly, southerly and southwesterly direction along the eastern shore line of Labrador to the point of beginning, together with Belle Isle, Grady Island, Island of Ponds, Square Islands and all other islands adjacent thereto;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Cartwright, Charlottetown, Mary's Harbour, Port Hope Simpson, St. Lewis, Black Tickle, Domino, Lodge Bay, Norman Bay, Paradise River, Pinsent's Arm, William's Harbour, Red Bay, Pinware, West St. Modeste, Capstan Island, L'Anse au Loup, L'Anse Amour, Forteau, and L'Anse au Clair.

CONCEPTION BAY EAST & BELL ISLAND

The District of Conception Bay East & Bell Island shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at Blast Hole Point on the eastern shore line of Conception Bay;

Then running east to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 47°39' North Latitude and the Meridian of 52°47' West Longitude;

Then running in a southeasterly direction to a point of intersection with the shore line of Windsor Lake and the centre line of an unnamed river which extends between Newfound Pond and Windsor Lake;

Then running in a southerly direction along the western boundary of the District of Cape St. Francis to its intersection with the eastern shore line of Windsor Lake;

Then running along the eastern shore line of Windsor Lake in a general southwesterly direction to its intersection with the centre line of a dam on the southerly shore line of Windsor Lake;

Then to the intersection of the centre line of the river flowing from Powers Pond into Gull Pond and the centre line of Thorburn Road;

Then along the centre line of that river in a southerly direction to the point where that river flows from Powers Pond;

Then along the northern shore line of Powers Pond to the most southern point on the shore line of Powers Pond;

Then running in a southwesterly direction to a point of intersection with the centre line of Topsail Road and the centre line of Trail's End Drive;

Then running along the centre line of Topsail Road in a general westerly direction to its intersection with an arbitrary point located on Topsail Road and more precisely situated between Heightview Drive and Irving Drive;

Then running in a general northerly and northwesterly direction to a point of intersection with the centre line of an unnamed river and the shore line of Adam's Pond, such that all dwellings located in Heightview Drive and Pleasantview Avenue are contained in the District of Conception Bay East & Bell Island;

Then running in a general northerly and northwesterly direction along the shore line of Adam's Pond to its intersection with the centre line of an unnamed brook;

Then running in a northwesterly direction to its intersection with the shore line of Conception Bay at Topsail Head;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction along the eastern shore line of Conception Bay to the point of beginning, together with Bell Island, Kelly's Island, Little Bell Island and all other islands adjacent thereto;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH

The District of Conception Bay South shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

The District of Ferryland shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point on the shore line of Empty Basket Cove, north of Motion Bay on the eastern shore line of the Avalon Peninsula;

Then running west to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 47°29' North Latitude and the Meridian of 52°45' West Longitude, the said point being known as Turtle Hill;

Then running in a southeasterly direction to its intersection with the centre line of a bridge, which extends between First Pond and Second Pond;

FORTUNE BAY - CAPE LA HUNE

The District of Fortune Bay - Cape La Hune shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point of intersection with the Meridian of 57°30' West Longitude and the shore line of the southwest coast, east of the community of Burgeo;

Then running north along the said Meridian of 57°30' West Longitude to its intersection with the northern boundary of the district of Burgeo & La Poile;

GANDER

The District of Gander shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at the eastern most point of Gander Lake;

Then running in a southwesterly direction to a point of intersection with the Meridian of 55° West Longitude and the northern boundary of the District of Fortune Bay - Cape La Hune;

Then running west along the said boundary to its intersection with the Meridian of 55°18' West Longitude;

Then running north along the said Meridian of 55°18' West Longitude to its intersection with the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway;

The District of Humber West shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Then running along the centre line of Duckworth Street in a general southwesterly direction to its intersection with the centre line of McBride's Hill;

Then running along the centre line of McBride's Hill to its intersection with the centre line of Ayre's Cove;

Then running along the centre line of Ayre's Cove and its prolongation to its intersection with the centre line of the St. John's Harbour;

Then running along the centre line of the St. John's Harbour to its intersection with the City of St. John's Municipal Boundary (1991) extending between South Head and North Head;

Then running along the said boundary to its intersection with a point of land known as North Head;

Then running along the shore line in a general northerly direction to the point of beginning.

Note: This District shall include that part of the City of St. John's described above.

TERRA NOVA

The District of Terra Nova shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point of intersection with the centre line of the northern most branch of Dungeon Brook and the western shore line of Goose Bay;

Then running in a general westerly direction along the centre line of said brook to its intersection with the shore line of Northwest Pond;

Then running in a general northwesterly direction along the shore line of the said pond to its intersection with the centre line of Stagg Brook;

Then running in a southerly direction to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 48°18' North Latitude and the Meridian of 53°56' West Longitude, the said point being more precisely situated south of the community of Morley's Siding and north of Gull Pond;

Then running west along the said Parallel of 48°18' North Latitude to its intersection with the Meridian of 55° West Longitude;

Then running along the eastern boundary of the District of Fortune Bay - Cape La Hune, north to its intersection with the southern boundary of the District of Gander;

Then running in a northeasterly direction to the eastern most point of Gander Lake;

Then running due north to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 48°54' North Latitude;

Then running east along the said Parallel of 48°54' North Latitude to its intersection with the western shore line of Lockers Bay, south of a bridge which spans the western most portion of the said bay;

Then running along the shore lines of Lockers Bay, Freshwater Bay, Bloody Reach, Newman Sound, Clode Sound and Goose Bay in a general southeasterly direction to the point of beginning, together with Cottle Island and all other islands adjacent thereto;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Glovertown, Traytown, Cull's Harbour, Sandringham, Happy Adventure, Sandy Cove, Eastport, Salvage, St. Chads, Burnside, St. Brendan's, Charlottetown, Terra Nova, Terra Nova Park, Port Blandford, Muddy Brook, Bunyan's Cove, Canning's Cove, Musgravetown, Dover, Hare Bay, Gambo, and Gambo Pond.

THE STRAITS & WHITE BAY NORTH

The District of The Straits & White Bay North shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point of intersection with the centre line of Route 433 and the centre line of Northeast Brook, which flows from Coles Pond into Chimney Bay;

Then running in a general southerly direction along the centre line of the said brook and the centre line of Chimney Bay and Canada Bay to its intersection with a point of land known as Canada Head, south of the community of Englee;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction along the eastern shore line of the Great Northern Peninsula to Maiden Point;

Then running in a general westerly, northwesterly and easterly direction along the shore line of Hare Bay to Lobster Point;

Then running in a general northerly, westerly and northerly direction along the shore line of the Great Northern Peninsula to Cape Norman;

Then running in a general southwesterly direction along the shore line of the Strait of Belle Isle, to a point opposite Seal Islands and lying between Flowers Cove and Bear Cove;

Then running in a southeasterly direction to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 51°04' North Latitude and the Meridian of 56°22' West Longitude;

Then running in a southeasterly direction to the point of beginning, together with Grey Islands, Fischot Island, Brent Islands, Quirpon Island, Green Island and all other islands adjacent thereto;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Cook's Harbour, Goose Cove East, Raleigh, St. Anthony, St. Lunaire-Griquet, Cape Norman, Goose Cove, Great Brehat, Hay Cove, L'Anse aux Meadows, Noddy Bay, North Boat Harbour, Quirpon, Ship Cove-Cape Onion, St. Anthony Bight, St. Carols, Wild Bight, Bide Arm, Conche, Englee, Main Brook, Roddickton, Croque, North East Crouse, St. Juliens, Flower's Cove, Big Brook, Green Island Brook, Green Island Cove, Lower Cove, Nameless Cove, Pine Cove, Sandy Cove, Savage Cove, and Eddie's Cove.

TOPSAIL

The District of Topsail shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point of intersection with the centre line of Conway Brook and the centre line of Long Pond;

Then running along the centre line of Conway Brook in a general southerly direction to its intersection with the shore line of Big Pond;

Then running in a southwesterly direction to a point of intersection with the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway and the centre line of Route 61 (the Foxtrap Access Road);

Then running along the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway in a general northeasterly direction to its intersection with the centre line of Kenmount Road;

Then running along the centre line of Kenmount Road to its intersection with the centre line of Wyatt Boulevard;

Then running in a northwesterly direction to its intersection with the most southern point on the shore line of Powers Pond;

Then running in a southwesterly direction to a point of intersection with the centre line of Topsail Road and the centre line of Trail's End Drive;

Then running in a general westerly direction along the centre line of Topsail Road to an arbitrary point located between Heightview Drive and Irving Drive;

Then running in a general northerly and northwesterly direction to a point of intersection with the centre line of an unnamed brook and the shore line of Adams Pond, such that all dwellings on Heightview Drive and Pleasantview Avenue are contained in the District of Conception Bay East & Bell Island;

Then running in a general northwesterly and southwesterly direction along the shore line of Adams Pond to its intersection with the centre line of an unnamed brook which flows into Adams Pond;

Then running in a northwesterly direction to its intersection with the eastern shore line of Conception Bay at Topsail Head;

Then running in a general southerly direction along the eastern shore line of Conception Bay to its intersection with the centre line of Long Pond;

Then running along the centre line of Long Pond to the point of beginning.

Note: This District shall include that part of the Town of Conception Bay South and that part of the Town of Paradise-St. Thomas as described above.

TORNGAT MOUNTAINS

The District of Torngat Mountains shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at Fish Cove Point on the southern shore of Groswater Bay;

Then running in a general westerly and southwesterly direction to a point of land known as Rabbit Point on the south shore of Lake Melville;

Then running in a northwesterly direction to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 54° North Latitude and the Meridian of 60° West Longitude;

Then running along the northern boundary of the District of Lake Melville, west along the said Parallel of 54° North Latitude to its intersection with the Meridian of 64°20' West Longitude;

Then running north along the said Meridian of 64°20' West Longitude to its intersection with the boundary separating the Province of Newfoundland and the Province of Quebec;

Then running along the said boundary in a general northerly direction to Cape Chidley;

Then running in a general southeasterly direction along the eastern shore line of Labrador to its eastern most point, south of Holton Harbour;

Then running in a straight line to the point of beginning, together with Henrietta Island, George Island and all other islands adjacent thereto;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Rigolet, Makkovik, Postville, Hopedale, Davis Inlet, and Nain.

TRINITY - BAY DE VERDE

The District of Trinity - Bay de Verde shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point of intersection with the centre line of Spout Cove Brook and the western shore line of Conception Bay, northeast of the community of Perry's Cove;

Then running along the centre line of Spout Cove Brook to its intersection with the centre line of Route 70;

Then running west to its intersection with the centre line of Route 74, which extends between the communities of Heart's Content and Victoria;

Then running in a southwesterly direction to a point of intersection with the centre line of a road which extends between the communities of Carbonear and Heart's Delight, and a line drawn north from the intersection of the shore line of The Pond That Feeds The Brook and the centre line of North River;

Then running south along the said line to its intersection with the Parallel of 47°32' North Latitude;

Then running west along the said Parallel of 47°32' North Latitude to a point of intersection with the Meridian of 53°32' West Longitude;

Then running in a northwesterly direction to its intersection with the northern boundary of the fish packing plant situated between the communities of Dildo South and Broad Cove;

Then running west to its intersection with the shore line at Dildo Arm;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction along the eastern shore line of Trinity Bay to Grates Point;

Then running in a general southeasterly and southwesterly direction along the western shore line of Conception Bay to the point of beginning, together with Baccalieu Island and all other islands adjacent thereto;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Daniel's Cove, Caplin Cove, Low Point, Bay de Verde, Red Head Cove, Grates Cove, Old Perlican, Lead Cove, Turks Cove, Sibley's Cove, Brownsdale, New Melbourne, New Chelsea, Hants Harbour, Winterton, New Perlican, Heart's Content, Heart's Desire, Islington, Heart's Delight, Broad Cove, Cavendish, Whiteway, Green's Harbour, Hopeall, New Harbour, Adam's Cove, Kingston, Small Point, Broad Cove, Blackhead, Western Bay, Ochre Pit Cove, Northern Bay, Long Beach, Gull Island, Burnt Point, Jobs Cove, Lower Island Cove, and Dildo.

TRINITY NORTH

The District of Trinity North shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point of land known as South Head, south of the community of Melrose, Trinity Bay;

Then running in a westerly direction to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 48°28' North Latitude and the Meridian of 53°21' West Longitude;

Then running in a southwesterly direction to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 48°18' North Latitude and the Meridian of 53°56' West Longitude, the said point being more precisely situated south of the community of Morley's Siding and north of Gull Pond;

Then running along the southern boundary of the District of Terra Nova, west along the said Parallel of 48°18' North Latitude to its intersection with the Meridian of 55° West Longitude;

Then running along the eastern boundary of the District of Fortune Bay - Cape La Hune, south to its intersection with the Parallel of 47°58' North Latitude;

Then running east along the said Parallel of 47°58' North Latitude to its intersection with the western shore line of Trinity Bay, at St. Jones Head, south of Round Harbour;

Then running along the shore line of Trinity Bay, Southwest Arm, Northwest Arm, Smith Sound and Green Bay to the point of beginning, together with Random Island, Ireland's Eye and all other islands adjacent thereto;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Thorburn Lake, Champney's West, Champney's East, English Harbour, Port Rexton, Trinity East, Trinity, Goose Cove, Lockston, Dunfield, Trouty, Old Bonaventure, New Bonaventure, Burgoynes Cove, Clifton, Monroe, Waterville, Gin Cove, Harcourt, George's Brook, Milton, Shoal Harbour, Clarenville, Deep Bight, Elliott's Cove, Random Heights, Snooks Harbour, Aspey Brook, Weybridge, Lady Cove, Hickman's Harbour, Robinson's Bight, Brittania, Lower Lance Cove, Petley, Adeytown, St. Jones Within, Hatchet Cove, Hillview, Ivany's Cove, North West Brook, Southport, Gooseberry Cove, Butter Cove, Little Heart's Ease, Caplin Cove, Hodge's Cove, Long Beach, and Queen's Cove.

TWILLINGATE & FOGO

The District of Twillingate & Fogo shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

The said District shall include the islands of Twillingate, New World Island, Change Islands, Fogo Island and the following adjacent islands: Black Island, Western and Eastern Indian Island, Dog Bay Island, Bacalhao Island, Wadham Islands, Ship Island and Salt Harbour Island.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Crow Head, Twillingate, Gilesport, Durrells, Bayview, Kettle Cove, Black Duck Cove, Ragged Point, Purcell's Harbour, Little Harbour, Morton's Harbour, Valley Pond, Whale's Gulch, Bridgeport, Cottlesville, Tizzards Harbour, Carter's Cove, Chanceport, Virgin Arm, Summerford, Fairbank, Newville, Hillgrade, Parkview, Indian Cove, Salt Harbour Island, Hatchet Harbour, Herring Neck, Merritt's Harbour, Green Cove, Too Good Arm, Pike's Arm, Cobbs Arm, Virgin Arm, Dark Hole, Shoal Cove, Sunnyside, Roger's Cove, Fogo Island Centre, Fogo, Shoal Bay, Barr'd Islands, Joe Batts Arm, Tilting, Seldom, Little Seldom, Stag Harbour, Deep Bay, Island Harbour, and Change Islands.

VIRGINIA WATERS

The District of Virginia Waters shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point on the centre line of a brook that extends between Middle Pond and Big Pond, east of Windsor Lake;

Then running in a northeasterly direction to a point of intersection with the centre line of Portugal Cove Road south of Major's Path, the said point being a distance of 250m, as measured from the intersection of the centre lines of Portugal Cove Road and an unnamed river that extends between Portugal Cove Road and Virginia Lake;

Then running in a general northwesterly direction along the centre line of Portugal Cove Road to its intersection with the centre line of that unnamed river that extends between Portugal Cove Road and Virginia Lake;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction to a point on the centre line of Torbay Road south of Major's Path, the said point being 100m, as measured from the intersections of the centre lines of Major's Path and Torbay Road;

Then running along the centre line of Torbay Road in a general northerly direction to its intersection with the centre line of Snow's Lane;

Then running along the centre line of Snow's Lane to its intersection with the City of St. John's Municipal Boundary (1991);

Then running in a general southeasterly direction along the said boundary to its intersection with the centre line of Logy Bay Road;

Then running westerly to a point of intersection with the shore line of Virginia Lake;

Then running along the southern shore line of Virginia Lake in a general westerly direction to its intersection with the centre line of Virginia River, located near Rigolet Crescent;

Then running along the centre line of the said river to its intersection with the centre line of Newfoundland Drive;

Then running along the centre line of Newfoundland Drive to its intersection with the centre line of Logy Bay Road;

Then running along the centre line of Logy Bay Road in a general southerly direction to its intersection with the centre line of MacDonald Drive;

Then running along the centre line of MacDonald Drive to its intersection with the centre line of Portugal Cove Road;

Then running along the centre line of Portugal Cove Road in a general northwesterly direction to its intersection with the centre line of London Road;

Then running along the centre line of London Road in a general westerly direction to its intersection with the centre line of Ridge Road;

Then running along the centre line of Ridge Road to its intersection with the centre line of Mount Scio Road;

Then running in a westerly direction to the point of beginning.

Note: This District shall include that part of the City of St. John's described above.

WATERFORD VALLEY

The District of Waterford Valley shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point of intersection with the centre line of Kenmount Road and the centre line of Wyatt Boulevard;

Then running along the centre line of Kenmount Road to its intersection with the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway;

Then running along the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway in a general southwesterly direction to its intersection with the centre line of Pitts Memorial Drive;

Then running along the centre line of Pitts Memorial Drive in a general southeasterly direction to its intersection with the centre line of Ruth Avenue;

Then running along the centre line of Ruth Avenue to its intersection with the centre line of an unnamed brook which extends between Michener Avenue and Glendale Avenue;

Then running along the centre line of the said river to its intersection with the centre line of Waterford River;

Then running along the centre line of Waterford River in a general southeasterly direction to its intersection with the centre line of Commonwealth Avenue;

Then running along the centre line of Commonwealth Avenue in a general southeasterly direction to its intersection with the centre line of the northern branch of Flynn's Brook;

Then running along the centre line of Flynn's Brook in a general easterly direction to its intersection with the City of Mount Pearl Municipal Boundary (1991);

Then running in a northeasterly direction to a point of intersection with the centre line of Waterford River and the centre line of an unnamed brook, more precisely situated south of Dunn's Road;

Then running in a general westerly direction along the centre line of the Waterford River to its intersection with the centre line of Dunn's Road;

Then running along the centre line of Dunn's Road in a general northerly direction to its intersection with the centre line of Topsail Road;

Then running in a general easterly direction along the centre line of Topsail Road to its intersection with the centre line of Burgeo Street;

Then running along the centre line of Burgeo Street to its intersection with the centre line of Canada Drive;

Then running along the centre line of Canada Drive to its intersection with the centre line of Blackmarsh Road;

Then running in a general southwesterly direction along the centre line of Blackmarsh Road to its intersection with the City of St. John's Municipal Boundary (1991);

Then running along the said boundary in a general northwesterly direction to its intersection with the centre line of Wyatt Boulevard;

Then running along the centre line of Wyatt Boulevard to the point of beginning.

Note: This District shall include that part of the City of Mount Pearl and the City of St. John's described above.

WINDSOR - SPRINGDALE

The District of Windsor - Springdale shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point of intersection with the western shore line of Halls Bay and the Parallel of 49°33' North Latitude;

Then running west along the said Parallel of 49°33' North Latitude to its intersection with a line drawn south from Shale Point on the eastern shore line of White Bay;

Then running south along the said line to its intersection with the Parallel of 49° North Latitude;

Then running east along the said Parallel of 49° North Latitude to its intersection with the western shore line of Aspen Pond;

Then running in a general southerly direction along the said shore line to its intersection with the centre line of Aspen Brook;

Then running in a general southerly direction along the centre line of Aspen Brook to a point of intersection with the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway;

Then running in a general easterly direction along the centre line of the Trans Canada Highway to its intersection with the centre line of Victoria Street, located in the Town of Grand Falls - Windsor;

Then running in a general northerly direction along the centre line of Victoria Street to its intersection with the centre line of an abandoned railway line;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction along the centre line of the abandoned railway line to its intersection with the prolongation of Wheeler's Avenue;

Then running along the said prolongation in a general northeasterly direction to its intersection with the centre line of Wheeler's Avenue;

Then running in a general northwesterly direction along the centre line of Wheeler's Avenue to its intersection with the centre line of Earle Street;

Then running in a general southwesterly direction along the centre line of Earle Street to its intersection with the centre line of Caribou Road;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction along the centre line of Caribou Road to its intersection with the centre line of Princess Place;

Then running north to a point of intersection with the Parallel of 49° North Latitude;

Then running east along the said Parallel of 49° North Latitude to its intersection with the Meridian of 55°35' West Longitude;

Then running along the western boundary of the District of Exploits, north along the said Meridian of 55°35' West Longitude to its intersection with the eastern shore line of Badger Bay;

Then running along the shore lines of Badger Bay, Roberts Arm and Halls Bay to the point of beginning, together with Triton Island, Pilley's Island, Long Island, Sunday Cove Island all other islands adjacent thereto;

All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983.

Note: This District shall include the communities of Springdale, South Brook, Roberts Arm, Pilley's Island, Triton, Brighton, Port Anson, Miles Cove, Lushes Bight, Beaumont, Sheppardville, and that part of the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor as described above.
