AN ACT TO AMEND THE MUNICIPALITIES ACT

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

RSN1990 cM-23 as amended

1. Section 111 of the Municipalities Act is amended by adding immediately after subsection (1) the following:

(1.1) For the purpose of establishing real property tax, there may be imposed in respect of real property used for residential purposes one rate of tax and in respect of commercial property, another rate of tax.

2. Paragraph 113(a) of the Act is repealed.
