AN ACT TO AMEND THE COAT OF ARMS ACT

(Assented to December 14, 1999)

Unauthorized use of Coat of Arms prohibited

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

1. Section 4 of the Coat of Arms Act is repealed and the following substituted:

Unauthorized use of Coat of Arms prohibited

4. A person, other than the government of the province, shall not assume or use

(a) the Coat of Arms;

(b) a design in imitation of the Coat of Arms; or

(c) a design which resembles the Coat of Arms,

unless that person has the express permission of the minister.
