AN ACT TO AMEND THE LOAN (CANADA PENSION PLAN INVESTMENT FUND) ACT, 1966

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

SN1966 No.30

1. Paragraph 3(e) of The Loan (Canada Pension Plan Investment Fund) Act, 1966 is repealed and the following substituted:

(e) have a term to maturity that the Minister of Finance of Canada fixes;

2. The Act is amended by adding immediately after section 3 the following:

Replacement securities

3.1 Notwithstanding section 3, replacement securities may be issued for the purpose of postponing the maturity of, or refinancing, a loan raised under this Act.
