AN ACT FOR GRANTING TO HER MAJESTY CERTAIN SUMS OF MONEY FOR DEFRAYING CERTAIN EXPENSES OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR ENDING MARCH 31, 2003 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES RELATING TO THE PUBLIC SERVICE

WHEREAS it appears that the sums mentioned are required to defray certain expenses of the Public Service of Newfoundland and Labrador for the financial year ending March 31, 2003 and for other purposes relating to the public service:

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:


Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Interim Supply Act, 2002.

Interim Supply 2002-2003

2. From and out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund there may be issued by the Minister of Finance and President of Treasury Board sums not exceeding $1,214,081,000 and the sums so issued shall be paid and applied by the several Heads of Expenditure in respect of the financial year extending from April 1, 2002 to March 31, 2003 towards defraying the charges and expenses of the Public Service of Newfoundland and Labrador as set out in the Schedule.

Commencement

3. This Act comes into force on April 1, 2002.
