AN ACT TO AMEND THE NATURAL PRODUCTS MARKETING ACT

(Assented to May 31, 2017)

Analysis

Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

1. Paragraph 9(1)(n) of the Natural Products Marketing Act is amended by deleting the word "and" at the end of subparagraph (iii) and adding immediately after that subparagraph the following:

(iii.1) the suspension or revocation of licences and permits, and

2. Section 12 of the Act is amended by adding immediately after paragraph (n) the following:

(n.1) prescribing quality standards and practices in relation to a regulated product;

(n.2) respecting the imposition of penalties;

(n.3) respecting the terms and conditions under which the penalties referred to in paragraph (n.2) are payable, the amount of the penalties, the method by which the penalties are calculated and the times at which the penalties are payable;
