Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Solicitor General Act.

Appointment and duties

2. The Lieutenant-Governor in Council may appoint by commission under the Great Seal an officer who shall be called the Solicitor General of Newfoundland who shall help the Minister of Justice in the work of the Department of Justice and shall be charged with those other duties that the Lieutenant-Governor in Council may assign to him or her.
