Under the authority of section 41 of the Mineral Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations.

Short title

        1. These regulations may be cited as the Mineral Act Baie Verte Area Exemption Regulations.

Area exempted

        2. The minerals in, on or under the lands and lands under water described in the Schedule are exempted from the application and operation of the Mineral Act .

Repeal

        3. The Mineral Act (Baie Verte Area) Exemption Regulations, 1982, Newfoundland Regulation 230/82, are repealed.

Schedule

All that piece or parcel of land situate and being at Baie Verte in the province described as follows:

Beginning at a point being the southeast angle of land described in a licence issued by us to Advocate Mines Limited on September 1, 1966;

Then running east 393.155 metres and then south 28' east 1700.180 metres and then south 88° and 59' west 1733.63 metres and then north 28' west 907.088 metres and then north 52° 50' east 1366.364 metres, more or less, to a point in the southerly boundary of the land described in the previously mentioned licence issued by us to Advocate Mines Limited;

Then running south 89° 39' east 244.922 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning containing an area of 623.641 acres, that is 252.378 hectares.
