A AN ACT TO HOLD THE CROWN HARMLESS IN THE
DISPOSITION OF THE ASSETS, BUSINESS Analysis 1. Short title 2. No liability 3. No compensation 4. Commencement Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows: Short title 1. This Act may be cited as the Crown Liability Act, 2007. No liability 2. (1) An
action or proceeding does not lie or shall not be instituted or continued
against the Crown or a minister, employee or agent of the Crown based on a
cause of action arising from, resulting from or incidental to the disposition
of the assets, business and other undertakings of FPI Limited or Fishery
Products International Limited. (2) A cause of action against the Crown or a
minister, employee or agent of the Crown arising from, resulting from or incidental
to the disposition of the assets, business and other undertakings of FPI Limited
or Fishery Products International Limited is extinguished. No compensation 3. A
person is not entitled to compensation or damages from the Crown or a minister,
employee or agent of the Crown arising from, resulting from or incidental to
the disposition of the assets, business and other undertakings of FPI Limited
or Fishery Products International Limited. Commencement 4. This Act comes into force on the day the Fishery Products International Act Repeal Act comes into force. ŠEarl G. Tucker, Queen's Printer |
