A BILL AN ACT TO AMEND THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION ACT Analysis 1.
S.13 Amdt. Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows: RSNL1990 cP-43 1. (1) Subsection 13(2) of the Public Service Commission Act is repealed and the following substituted: (2) The commission may, in writing, and subject to those regulations that the Lieutenant-Governor in Council may make, (a) delegate to a chief executive officer the authority to exercise and perform the powers or functions of the commission in relation to appointments and promotions to specific positions or categories of positions within that part of the public service of which he or she is the chief executive officer; or (b) delegate to the chief executive officer of the central agency responsible for human resources the authority to exercise and perform the powers or functions of the commission in relation to appointments and promotions within the public service, and those other duties under this Act as may be agreed between the commission and the chief executive officer of the central agency responsible for human resources. (2) Subsection 13(3) of the Act is repealed and the following substituted: (3) Delegations shall be subject to review annually by the commission. ©William E. Parsons, Queen's Printer |
