QUESTIONS

21. -- MR. GEORGE SWEENEY (Carbonear-Harbour Grace) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture to lay on the Table of the House the following information:

(a) the results of any assessment of the financial impact of the American boycott of Canadian seafood;

(b) any plans related to countering the anti-seal hunt propaganda; and

(c) a detailed breakdown of the total cost of developing any such plan.

22. -- MR. EDDIE JOYCE (Bay of Islands) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Transportation and Works to lay on the Table of the House the following information:

(a) the results of all safety inspections and equipment checks completed in the last three years relating to the ferry service in the province;

(b) an emergency preparedness plan for each ferry; and

(c) the results of any reviews of safety training procedures undertaken and any recommendations arising from these reviews.

23. -- MR. KELVIN PARSONS (Burgeo & LaPoile) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Natural Resources to lay on the Table of the House the following information:

(a) any correspondence relating to the operations of the Stephenville Mill; and

(b) any proposals made by the province, or to the province, relating to the operations of the Stephenville Mill.
