1. -- THE HONOURABLE THE MINISTER OF FINANCE AND PRESIDENT OF TREASURY BOARD -- To Move "That This House Approves in General the Budgetary Policy of the Government." (Budget Speech)

2. -- THE HONOURABLE THE MINISTER OF FINANCE AND PRESIDENT OF TREASURY BOARD -- To Move that the House Resolve itself into a Committee of the Whole on Supply to Consider Certain Resolutions for the Granting of Supply to Her Majesty. (Bill No. 5)

QUESTIONS

27. -- MS. YVONNE JONES (Cartwright-L'Anse au Clair) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Health and Community Services to lay on the Table of the House the following information:

(a) the results of any studies the Government has done into expanding the provincial Cystic Fibrosis drug coverage to include medical vests, which have been shown to improve lung functioning and quality of life.

28. -- MS. YVONNE JONES (Cartwright-L'Anse au Clair) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Health and Community Services to lay on the Table of the House the following information:

(a) the number of people in the Corner Brook area who are in need of respite care and will be displaced by the closure of the only two respite care beds in the city; and

(b) Government's plans for accommodating those people.

29. -- MR. PERCY BARRETT (Bellevue) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Environment and Conservation to lay on the Table of the House the following information:

(a) the number of tires currently stockpiled in the province, and their locations;

(b) a detailed accounting of the safety precautions which have been taken to prevent dangerous situations from arising at these locations; and

(c) any reports which have been completed, either internally or externally, related to the possible dangers involved with stockpiling tires.

30. -- MR. KELVIN PARSONS (Burgeo & LaPoile) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Justice to lay on the Table of the House the following information:

(a) the number of escapes which have occurred from the Whitbourne Youth Centre in the last three years;

(b) information related to, and explaining, each of these escapes; and

(c) any and all action taken by Government to prevent future escapes of this nature.

31. -- MR. GEORGE SWEENEY (Carbonear-Harbour Grace) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Government Services to lay on the Table of the House the following information:

(a) the results of any assessments regarding whether the meter-indicated output volume of gasoline at fuel pumps is consistent with the actual output, at gas stations across the province; and

(b) actions taken by Government to correct any inconsistencies discovered.
