2. -- Second Reading of a Bill -- "An Act To Amend The Hydro Corporation Act". (Bill No. 1)

MOTION

1. -- THE HONOURABLE THE MINISTER OF FINANCE AND PRESIDENT OF TREASURY BOARD -- To Move that the House Resolve itself into a Committee of the Whole on Supply to Consider Certain Resolutions for the Granting of Interim Supply to Her Majesty. (Bill No. 2)

QUESTIONS

11. -- MR. ROLAND BUTLER (Port de Grave) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Education to lay on the Table of the House the following information:

(a) any assessment that has been done of the Government's Safe and Caring Schools Initiatives, which was introduced by the Government in February, 2004.

12. -- MR. ROLAND BUTLER (Port de Grave) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Education to lay on the Table of the House the following information:

(a) the results of any studies conducted into junk food consumption levels in the schools of the province; and

(b) the results of any studies conducted into the economic impact to schools of banning junk food and the funding needed by schools to make up the difference if junk food was banned.

13. -- MR. ROLAND BUTLER (Port de Grave) - To ask the Honourable the Minister of Education to lay on the Table of the House the following information:

(a) a list of requests for library services which have been submitted by municipalities across the province;

(b) the framework used to prioritize these requests, including any discussions, consultations and recommendations regarding the matter; and

(c) the timeframe for providing library services to these towns.
