− To ask leave to introduce a Bill entitled, “An
Act Respecting The Seniors' Advocate”. (Bill No. 64)

− THE HONOURABLE THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE LEADER – To Move:
“WHEREAS subsection 4(2) of the Elections Act, 1991 provides that on
resolution of the House of Assembly, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council appoint the Chief Electoral Officer;
AND WHEREAS subsection 34(1) of the House of Assembly Act provides that on
resolution of the House of Assembly, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council appoint
a Commissioner for Legislative Standards;
AND WHEREAS subsection 5.1(2) of the Elections Act, 1991 and subsection 34(3)
of the House of Assembly Act provide
that the same person may hold the office of the Chief Electoral Officer and the
office of the Commissioner for Legislative Standards;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Mr. Bruce
Chaulk be appointed Chief Electoral Officer and commissioner for Legislative
Standards”.

− THE HONOURABLE THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE LEADER – To Move:
“WHEREAS section 4 of the Child
and Advocate Act provides that on resolution of the House of Assembly, the
Lieutenant-Governor in Council shall appoint a Child and Youth Advocate;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Ms.
Jackie Lake-Kavanagh be appointed as the Child and Youth Advocate”.
