1. − THE HONOURABLE THE MINISTER OF FINANCE AND PRESIDENT OF TREASURY BOARD − To Move “That This House Approves in General the Budgetary Policy of the Government.” (Budget Speech)

 

2. − THE HONOURABLE THE MINISTER OF FINANCE AND PRESIDENT OF TREASURY BOARD − To Move that the House Resolve itself into a Committee of the Whole on Supply to Consider Certain Resolutions Relating to the Granting of  Supply to Her Majesty.  (Bill No. 6)

 

         3. – MR. JOHN FINN (Stephenville – Port au Port) − To Move:

 

WHEREAS most gas stations and fast food restaurants / drive-throughs across the Province have no recycling bins available for travelling motorists;

 

AND WHEREAS Newfoundland and Labrador has the lowest recycling rate in Canada;

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Honourable House recognizes the importance of increasing recycling in the Province, and urges the Government to consider legislation requiring recycling containers be present at fast food restaurants / drive-throughs and gas stations”.

 

QUESTIONS

 

3.− MS. LORRAINE MICHAEL (St. John's East – Quidi Vidi)   To ask the Honourable the Minister of Finance and President of Treasury Board to lay on the Table of the House the following information related to the proposed long term care home and acute care hospital for Corner Brook:

 

(a)           The full “Value for Money” assessments conducted for Government by EY.

(b)          The specific risk assessments applied to the various procurement options.

(c)           The financing interest rates that were assumed with respect to each of the procurement options.

(d)          The transaction costs (legal, accounting, etc.) associated with each of the procurement options.

(e)           The weighting that was assigned to each of the evaluation criteria.

(f)           A copy of Government's policy framework for the assessment of procurement options for Government infrastructure projects.
