that the House of Assembly urge the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to
begin consultations with unions and employers to identify measures that would
support the collective bargaining process thereby avoiding prolonged work
stoppages while respecting the rights of both the unionized and non-unionized
employees such that the long-term sustainability of various industries is
preserved to the benefit of all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians”.
