Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act , 1999 the Lieutenant Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Norman s Cove-Long Cove Order, 2001.

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Norman s Cove-Long Cove are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. The Town of Normans Cove-Long Cove Order , Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 323/96, is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point on the high water mark where Colliers Bay Brook empties into Colliers Bay ;

Then following the western bank of Colliers Bay Brook in a southwesterly direction to Route 101;

Then due south 2,000 metres, more or less, to the juncture of a brook flowing out of John Newhooks Pond and Colliers Bay Brook;

Then south 49 ° 00' east 1,550 metres, more or less, to Murphys Cove Brook;

Then in a northeasterly direction 2,750 metres, more or less, to the western shoreline of Chapel Arm, more specifically having coordinates north 5,268,642 metres and east 299,241 metres; and

Then in a northwesterly direction following the highwater shoreline to the point of commencement;

All bearings refer to Grid North and, as with distances given, are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 mapping.
