Under the authority of sections 15 and 114 of the Wild Life Regulations and theWild Life Act, I make the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Wolf Hunting Order, Newfoundland and Labrador .

Definition

        2. In this Order, "license" means a licence issued under section 15 of the Wild Life Regulations.

Devices permitted

        3. A person shall only shoot a wolf under a licence using

             (a)  a centre-fire rifle not greater than .25 calibre; or;

             (b)  a shotgun using shot size 2 or larger.

Prohibition

        3.1 Notwithstanding paragraph 3(a), a person shall not carry, transport or possess a firearm referred to in paragraph 3(a) in any area on the Island of Newfoundland frequented by wild life during any part of the open season within the period of September 1 to December 31, inclusive, each year.

Bag limit

        5. The bag limit shall be one wolf per licence.
