Notice of Convention re: Reciprocal Enforcement of Judgments
under the
Canada and the United Kingdom Reciprocal Recognition
and Enforcement of Judgments Act

NOTICE

Under section 5 of the Canada and the United Kingdom Reciprocal Recognition and Enforcement of Judgments Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , notice is given that:

             (a)  the Convention between Canada and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Providing for the Reciprocal Recognition and Enforcement of Judgments in Civil and Commercial Matters came into force in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador on August 1, 1991; and

             (b)  applications for the registration of a judgment given by a court of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland may be made in the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador , Trial Division.

The Notice of Convention re: Reciprocal Enforcement of Judgments under the Canada and the United Kingdom Reciprocal Recognition and Enforcement of Judgments Act, Newfoundland Regulation 198/91, is repealed.
