Town of
Gander
Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)
Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act
and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act
, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.
ORDER
Analysis
Short title
1.
This Order may be cited as the Town of Gander Order
.

The boundaries of the Town of
Gander
are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal
3.
Newfoundland
Regulations 650/78 and 184/83 are repealed.

Schedule
Beginning at a point on the northern shoreline of Gander Lake and, following the eastern boundary of Gander International Airport, running north 17° east a distance of 7,650 metres, more or less, and north 00° 30' west a distance of 2,850 metres, more or less;
Then running northwestward a distance of 8,100 metres, more or less, to the intersection of the western and northern reservations of Gander Bay Road and a road leading to the town dump, respectively;
Then running westward a distance of 1,650 metres, more or less, to the height of land;
Then running southwestward a distance of 5,350 metres, more or less, to the eastern extremity of Harvard Pond;
Then following the southern shoreline of Harvard Pond to and then along the stream from the
Twin
Lakes

Then following the western shoreline of the
Twin
Lakes
and the feeder ponds thereof to their southern extremity;
Then running due south to the northern shoreline of
Gander
Lake
;
Then in a generally easterly direction following the northern shoreline of
Gander
Lake
to the point of beginning.
All bearings being referred to the true meridian and as with distances given are subject to approximation with reference to the National Topographic Mapping, 1987 edition.
