Town of Massey Drive Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Massey Drive Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Massey Drive are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 729/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Commencing at a point, that point being the centre line of Massey Drive where Massey Drive intersects with the power transmission line 411 metres, more or less, east of the Trans Canada Highway;

Then following the power transmission line in a generally northwesterly direction a distance of 344 metres, more or less, and being 183 metres, more or less, north of Massey Drive ;

Then north 13° 00' east a distance of 558 metres, more or less, to the summit of an unnamed hill;

Then south 89° 00' east a distance of 858 metres, more or less, to the summit, elevation 251 metres, of a second unnamed hill;

Then south 85° 45' east a distance of 948 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being on the southerly side of an unnamed stream;

Then south 25° 00' east a distance of 1,301 metres, more or less, to a point at the highwater mark on the northeasterly side of Tippings Pond;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline of Tippings Pond in a generally westerly and southerly direction to a point, that point being at the highwater mark on the southern shore of Tippings Pond 274 metres due north of the power transmission line;

Then south 40° 00' west a distance of 274 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being where the power transmission line turns to a more westerly direction;

Then in a generally northwesterly direction following the centre line of the power transmission line a distance of 2,408 metres, more or less, to a point of commencement.

All bearings being referred to grid north.
