Elliston Municipal Planning Area
Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Elliston Municipal Planning Area. PLANNING
Beginning at a point, that point being the horizontal control monument on Burnt Ridge; Then north 15° 00' west a distance of 2,750 metres, more or less, to a point on the centre line of Highway 238; Then north 77° 00' east a distance of 3,800 metres, more or less, to a point on the highwater mark on the western side of Trinity Bay; Then in a generally southerly direction along the shoreline at highwater mark, passing through Elliston Cove, Elliston Point, Flower's Point, to a point at the highwater mark at the mouth of an unnamed river flowing into Trinity Bay, that point being on the Little Catalina Municipal Planning Area boundary; Then north 34° 00' west a distance of 3,600 metres, more or less, along that boundary; Then south 49° 00' west a distance of 3,050 metres, more or less, to a point 150 metres east of the centre line of Highway 230 and on a line perpendicular to the centre line of Highway 230; Then in a northerly direction parallel to and 150 metres east of the centre line of Highway 230 to a point 150 metres north of and on a line perpendicular to the centre line of Highway 238; Then in a northeasterly direction parallel to and 150 metres from the centre line of Highway 238 to a point on the boundary of the Bonavista watershed; Then in a northeasterly direction along the watershed boundary to a point, that point being the horizontal control monument on Burnt Ridge, the point of beginning.
