CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 858/96

Happy Valley - Goose Bay Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act
(O.C. 96-173)

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Happy Valley - Goose Bay Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at a point, that point being Geyts Point;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally westerly and northerly direction to a point, that point being where the Goose River flows into Goose Bay at Groves Point;

Then following the southern bank of Goose River to a point, that point being located where Goose River intersects with the eastern limit of the old Goose Bay Military Reserve boundary;

Then crossing Goose River and following the old military reserve boundary north 6° 30' west a distance of 3,225 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being north of an unnamed pond;

Then south 88° west a distance of 12,875 metres, more or less, in conjunction with the old military reserve boundary;

Then south 2° east a distance of 18,500 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being the highwater mark on the northern shore of Churchill River;

Then in a generally northeasterly direction following the sinuosities of the northern bank of Churchill River and including all surrounding islands to the point of commencement.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
