Notre Dame Provincial Park Proclamation
under the
Provincial Parks Act
(O.C. 96-189)

Under the authority of section 4 of the Provincial Parks Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council proclaims the area described in the Schedule to be a provincial park.

                   The Notre Dame Park Proclamation, Newfoundland Regulation 186/80, is repealed.

All that piece or parcel of land situate and being near Notre Dame Junction in the province, abutted and bounded as follows, that is to say:

Beginning at a point in the southwesterly limit of the Trans Canada Highway extending between Glenwood and Norris Arm, that point having reference from a point in the centre of the concrete highway bridge spanning Junction Pond Brook as follows: south 31° 37' east 199.3 metres, and then south 58° 20' west 25.6 metres to the principal point of beginning;

Then running along that southwesterly limit of the highway south 33° east 561.1 metres;

Then turning and running south 56° west 693.4 metres, and then north 87° west 304.8 metres, and then north 35° west 1,082.4 metres, and then north 57° east 793.4 metres to the southwesterly shore of a small pond;

Then running along that shore in a general easterly direction and along the southern bank of the brook flowing from that pond to a point in the westerly shore of Junction Pond;

Then running in general northerly, easterly, southerly and southeasterly directions along the shore of Junction Pond to a point which is 3.4 metres distant on a bearing of south 58° 20' west from the point of beginning;

Then running north 58° 20' east 3.4 metres to the point of beginning and containing an area of 112.5 hectares, more or less.

All bearings are magnetic.
