Heart's Content Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000 , I define the following area as the Heart's Content Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at a point on the high water mark of Bacon Cove Head having coordinates east 275,837.137 metres and north 5,305,851.126 metres, more or less;

Then heading in an easterly direction to a point on the southern extremity of Perlican Pond having coordinates east 282,667.755 metres and north 5,305,525.035 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a southerly direction to a point on the eastern limits of route 74 (Heart’s Content Highway) having coordinates east 282,945.404 metres and north 5,297,838.272 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a southwesterly direction to a point on the northern extremity of Hanging Hill Pond having coordinates east 276,028.063 metres and north 5,296,651.814 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a northwesterly direction to a point where the outflow of a small brook from Freshwater Pond meets the high water mark of the Trinity Bay coastline having coordinates east 272,253.658 metres and north 5,301,306.492 metres, more or less;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction along the sinuosities of the coast line to a point on Souther Point having coordinates east 275,195.146 metres and north 5,304,796.157 metres, more or less;

Then running in a general southeasterly direction along the sinuosities of the coast line to a point where the outflow of a brook from Mizzen Pond meets the high water mark of Heart’s Content coastline;

Then running in a general northwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the coast line back to the point of beginning.

All coordinates being scaled from 30cm Orthorectified Imagery and being referenced to the North American Datum 1983 (NAD83) using the Modified Transverse Mercator (MTM) Zone 1 Projection.
