Notice of Protected Water Supply Area of Steady Cove Pond, WS-S-0185, Municipality of Comfort Cove-Newstead
under the
Water Resources Act

Under the authority of section 39 of the Water Resources Act , I designate the area generally known as the Steady Cove Pond Water Supply Area, WS-S-0185, for the Municipality of Comfort Cove-Newstead as a protected water supply area.

This area includes all lands in the Provincial Electoral District of Lewisporte – Twillingate abutted and bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 654,627 and northing 5,470,851;

Then running in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 256 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 654,437 metres and northing 5,470,680 metres;

Then running in a westerly direction for a distance of 231 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 654,209 metres and northing 5,470,642 metres;

Then running in a northwesterly direction for a distance of 324 metres, more or less, to a point having scaled UTM coordinates of easting 653,962 metres and northing 5,470,851 metres;

The Notice of Protected Water Supply Area , Consolidated Newfoundland and Labrador Regulation 710/96, is repealed.
